Fuller Park is south of Comiskey Park, the home of the American League Chicago White Sox baseball team. The community derives its name from the small park named for Melville W. Fuller, Chicago attorney and U.S. chief justice. Fuller Park opened in 1912, with a field house designed in classical Greek revival style by Daniel H. Burnham and Company.
